Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

This past June, Cindy, Sophie, and I were able to stay at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to celebrate Sophie’s 21st birthday. It was a magical time, full of memories that will last a lifetime. I will be expanding on all that we did in the weeks to come, but for today, we are going to take a deep dive into this incredible resort, and why you should consider it for your next Walt Disney World vacation.

The Room

We were assigned room 4069, which, as you can see from our intitial photo, was located west of the boat launch that you can use to go to Epcot or Hollywood Studios by way of the Friendship Boats. On that side of the resort, the fourth floor is the top floor, and with our balcony, we had incredible nighttime views of Harmonious, Disney’s nighttime show around Epcot’s World Showcase Lagoon. Here are some of the room photos I took.

The Balcony

For me, though, perhaps one thing I liked the best was our view from the balcony. It was a really incredible location, and nighttime shots were a must for me. Here are some of my favorites.

The Rest of the Resort

Of course, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is made up of more than just rooms. This Deluxe category resort features what is arguably the best pool complex on Disney property — Stormalong Bay, which is exclusive for Guests staying at Disney’s Yacht Club or Disney’s Beach Club resorts. From this overhead shot via Google Earth, you can see just how expansive the complex is:

Additionally, the resort is home to the Yachtsman Steakhouse, the Ale & Compass Restaurant, the Ale & Compass Lounge, The Market at Ale & Compass, and the Crew’s Cup Lounge.

After all is said and done, Cindy, Sophie, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Yacht Club, and would stay here again in the future. With it’s close proximity to all of the things to do at Disney’s Boardwalk area, up close access to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, the Yacht Club is truly a fantastic resort to explore and call home on your next vacation.
