The Simplest Ways To Make The Best Of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

The Christmas tree in Town Square at the Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Yesterday we shared with you part one of our trip report of our quick trip in December to Walt Disney World. If you missed it, you can check it out here. You may recall that we surprised my sister Robin with seeing her daughter and two of her granddaughters, and then we went resort hopping to look at some of the Christmas decorations at various resorts. We left that post with us about to arrive at the Magic Kingdom for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! That’s where we’ll pick up today.

The Christmas Party is a special ticket event for Walt Disney World. In order to attend, you have to have a special ticket for the party. Ticket prices vary year by year and also by when you are going during that year’s event. This was our first ever time going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and for Cindy, Sophie, Robin, and myself, the total cost for 2022 tickets for the December 2nd party was $719.96, or an average of $179.99 per person.

That is a lot of money, but there are some things that you get for that cost. Here’s a bit of a summary of what that ticket does for you:

For our visit, it was the four of us, plus my niece Stephanie, her husband Shane, and their two kids. We had so much fun together, but I will admit that I was worn out from all of our time spent looking at the decorations at the resort. So much so that I ended up not seeing the parade or fireworks for the party. We treated our time at the Magic Kingdom like it was an evening extra magic hours event, so we went on rides, ate dinner, and of course, chowed down on cookies.

One thing I really like to do is take a good nighttime ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. This time, I recorded the event and here it is, courtesy of our On the Road with Mickey channel on YouTube. Enjoy!

In addition to the PeopleMover, we also enjoyed some of the slower attractions that young kids like; ones like Winnie the Pooh, Buzz Lightyear, Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan’s Flight, and so forth. All of these are great, but for me, the highlight was the atmosphere. Being there during the Christmas season, seeing so many people all excited for the holidays, it warmed my heart. What really warms my heart, though, is that Stephanie and Shane sent me all of these photos from the party; seeing my family all there enjoying themselves is great, so take a look!

My friends, that will wrap up our coverage of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party for now. Tomorrow, we are going to round out our trip by taking a look at our Epcot day, which was a very full day to say the least, so stay tuned and check back in tomorrow! Thanks so much for riding along with us, have a great day!
