Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the newest land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park. Opening on August 29, 2019, the land is about as close as you can come to immersing yourself into the world of Star Wars. There is so much to see and do and experience, we will do our best to do justice to this incredible land.
Starting us off is the incredible detail of the land itself. Everyone has heard about Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance, which, of course, we will talk about in a little bit. But truly, Galaxy’s Edge is so much more then just those attractions. There’s Oga’s Cantina. There is the Droid Depot, where you can build your own droid. There is Savi’s Workshop, where you can learn the ways of the Force and construct your own light saber. That just scratches the surface when it comes to this immersive land. But, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so let’s look at some pictures!
Rise of the Resistance
Rise of the Resistance is, without a doubt, one of the most immersive attractions in Disney history. It’s not just about a ride; you really do join the Resistance in their quest to defeat the First Order.
Before you can even enjoy this experience, you need to obtain a virtual queue pass to join a boarding group.
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
This attraction we actually were able to ride during our July trip, and it was so much fun! I can’t wait until we are able to ride it again, hopefully with six of us so we can perhaps enable Chewie Mode!
Droid Depot
The last thing I’m going to write about in this post is the Droid Depot. Cindy and I surprised Sophie with a Droid experience for her birthday when we went last July. I was live-streaming it on Facebook, but for those that missed that, here it is from YouTube. Enjoy! Please pardon the amateur work of the camera man. 🙂
